Scopes' conviction for teaching Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution, contrary to a Tennessee state law. Step inside the courtroom for a portrait of an explosive episode in American history that remains as fresh and relevant as it ever was.

OUR VENUE
Our six subscription season productions are performed in the Von Braun Center Playhouse, conveniently located in downtown Huntsville, just minutes from I-565. The VBC Playhouse entrance is on Clinton Avenue just east of Memorial Parkway, across from the Coca-Cola plant. Parking is available in all the VBC lots, and the VBC Playhouse is fully accessible to those with disabilities.
